Settings
Currency, the day your financial month starts, theme, sign-in methods and banking connections.
Preferences
Settings covers the basics that shape the whole app:
- Currency — GBP by default; multi-currency display with user-entered exchange rates
- Month start day — which day of the month your financial month begins, with an optional adjustment to the previous or next working day, so cash flow aligns with your pay cycle
- Theme — dark mode follows your system preference, with a manual toggle
Sign-in and emails
Manage how you sign in — GitHub, Google, or magic-link email — and the email addresses linked to your account from Settings. Vault security (passphrase and passkeys per device) is managed separately, from the vault controls.
Banking
Settings → Banking is where Open Banking connections live: connect a UK bank, see sync status, run a manual "Sync now", and disconnect. It's also where you turn on optional background sync and pick its interval (15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 3 hours) — syncing runs on your device while the app is open and your vault is unlocked.
