Planning
Goals
Set savings, debt payoff and net worth targets — and see whether your plan reaches them.
Goal types
Three kinds of goal cover most plans:
- Savings target — reach an amount in a specific account (an emergency fund, a deposit)
- Debt payoff — bring a credit or loan balance to zero
- Net worth — reach an overall net worth figure
Each goal has a target amount and target date.
Tracking progress
Goals are checked against your projection, not just your current balance: each shows a status — achieved, on track, at risk, or off track — based on whether the projected path reaches the target by its date. Change the plan (or compare scenarios) and goal statuses update with it.
Savings target · by Dec 2026
Projected to reach target by Nov 2026.
Debt payoff · by Mar 2027
Projected £2,860 paid off by the target date.
Net worth · by Jun 2029
Target reached.
Statuses come from the projection, not just the balance: “at risk” means the current plan doesn’t quite reach the target by its date.
