Monthly cash flow at a glance

The dashboard opens with summary cards and a cash flow chart: income against outgoings and contributions for each month, with a net line showing whether you're pulling ahead. Surplus carries forward as the opening balance of the next month, so the chart reads as a running story rather than isolated bars.

This month's timeline

The month timeline lays out your financial month — which starts on the day you choose in Settings, so it can align with your pay cycle — as a single line of expected events: income due to land, bills going out, contributions and BNPL installments.

As real transactions arrive, items are marked as landed; anything past its expected date without a match shows as overdue, so you can spot a missed payment before it bites.

Insights and at-a-glance cards

Beyond the headline numbers, the dashboard surfaces what deserves attention:

• Insights — notable patterns drawn from your data, such as a budget group trending over; dismiss each once you've acted on it
• Over-budget alerts — groups that have already blown their plan this month
• Credit usage — a colour-coded utilisation bar per card, so creeping balances stand out
• Sinking funds — what's set aside and committed, kept separate from free surplus
• Top merchants — where the money actually went, by counterparty
• Goals, BNPL plans, spending and account breakdowns — compact cards linking into their full pages

In a household, a toggle switches the whole dashboard between just your finances and the combined household view.
